TikTok Follower Count

The TikTok app rounds large follower counts to one decimal place. This tool shows the exact figure TikTok publishes, so 1.5M becomes the precise number behind it.

Reading the four numbers

Followers

How many accounts follow this one. It is the figure most people mean by audience size, and the one brands and agencies ask for first.

Following

How many accounts this one follows. A very high following count next to a low follower count is a common signature of follow-for-follow growth rather than organic reach.

Likes

The lifetime total of likes across the account's videos, not likes on a single post. Large accounts routinely reach billions here, which is why the figure dwarfs followers.

Videos

Public posts currently on the profile. Deleted and private posts are not counted, so this is a measure of what is visible now rather than everything ever published.

Why the exact number differs from the app

TikTok serves two versions of its counters. One is rounded for display, and one carries the precise value. The app shows you the rounded one because "1.5M" is easier to read than seven digits. This tool reads the precise version, which is why the figure here is longer and more specific than the one on the profile.

Precision is what makes the number useful over time. Two readings a week apart tell you the real direction of travel, where a rounded figure can sit on "1.5M" through tens of thousands of gained or lost followers without moving at all.

Counts move constantly

On a large account the follower total changes every few seconds, and TikTok's own figures lag slightly behind reality. Two checks minutes apart legitimately disagree. Treat any single reading as approximately correct at that moment rather than as an audited figure.

What a follower count does not tell you

Audience size alone says little about reach. An account with a large but inactive following can be outperformed by a much smaller one whose videos are watched through. If you are assessing an account for a partnership, read followers alongside the like and video totals rather than on its own, and look at whether recent posts are performing.

Accuracy and limitations

Figures come from the account's public profile and are briefly cached, so a check repeated immediately may return the identical number without contacting TikTok again. Private accounts usually still publish their header totals, so a follower count is often available even when the videos are not.

This tool reads profile-level totals only. It does not open individual videos, so it cannot report per-post views, comments or shares, and it will not estimate an engagement rate from data it does not have.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see follower growth over time?

Not here. This tool reports the count at the moment you check. Tracking growth means recording readings yourself over days or weeks, which is the only honest way to get a trend from a public profile.

Does this work for private accounts?

Usually. A private account still publishes its profile header, including follower totals. Its videos stay hidden, and nothing here attempts to reach them.

Why is the like count so much larger than the follower count?

Likes accumulate across every video the account has ever posted, while followers is a current headcount. An account posting for several years will always show far more likes than followers.

Can I check several accounts at once?

Not in one request. Check them one at a time; results are cached briefly, so returning to an account you already looked at is immediate.
